The IT job market in Omaha has been picking up momentum since the beginning of the year, with Q2 showing a higher demand and more candidate movement. There are many clients looking to add 20-30 IT professionals both on a contract basis as well as direct hire scenarios. Candidates are also gaining confidence in seeking new opportunities, which for the past several quarters was not something they had been open to given their perception of uncertainty in the market. There are few industry segments that are in holding patterns or even shrinking, such as those heavily dependent on agriculture, but in speaking with those clients they too are optimistic about what the remainder of the year holds for them.

It strives to create an environment and culture for frequently and rapidly releasing software for a reliable continuous delivery approach. So, similar to how Agile progressed, you can expect that many IT positions and roles will soon come wrapped with a “nice to have” or “must have” requirement of working in a DevOps environment too.
