C&A Industries, a national leader in staffing and recruiting, has been recognized for excellence in employee learning.
The Omaha-based company has been named by Training magazine to the Training Top 125, which ranks organizations with the
most successful employer-sponsored training and development programs worldwide. Rankings of the 125 leading companies
will be announced on Feb. 24, 2020 during the Training 2020 Conference & Expo in Orlando, Fla.
C&A is the parent company to workforce solution firms Aureus Group®, Aureus Medical Group®, AurStaff®, Celebrity Staff,
and FocusOne Solutions®, as well as non-staffing affiliates AurTravel® and AurHomes®. C&A employs more than 700 in its
corporate and regional offices.
In October 2019, C&A was acquired by Medical Solutions, one of the nation’s largest healthcare staffing companies.
The deal represented the largest acquisition of a healthcare staffing company in the industry’s history. Medical
Solutions is also headquartered in Omaha.
Training is the leading business publication for learning and development and human resources professionals. This
is the second year C&A has been included in the Training Top 125. The company ranked #86 in 2019.
The Training Top 125 ranking is based on a combination of benchmarking statistics such as total training budget; percentage
of payroll; number of training hours per employee program; hours of training per employee annually; detailed formal programs;
learning goals; Kirkpatrick Level 3 and 4 evaluations; and business outcomes measurement. Rankings are determined by assessing
statistics combined with such factors as the scope of programming and the correlation between training & development efforts
and business goals, objectives, and results.
“C&A has an exceptional commitment to its training and development program. This effort has resulted in higher engaged
and more dedicated employees, and has instilled a true culture of learning throughout the company,” said Craig Meier, CEO of
Medical Solutions and C&A Industries. “We congratulate our C&A team on this well-deserved industry recognition, and we’re
very excited as we bring our companies together to continue to build and evolve this world-class program.”
C&A offers a broad range of initial and continued education for employees at all levels within its organization, from entry
level roles through management and executive level leadership. In addition to customized education developed by its training
staff, including accredited new hire sales training; multi-tiered professional development curricula; and support staff,
management preparation, and leadership training, the firm incorporates leading concepts, training modules, and industry experts
into its offerings.
“C&A is proud to be recognized for the second year by such a respected industry publication as Training magazine,” said
Liz Hall, executive director – training and development, C&A Industries. “Employee development is among our top priorities
at C&A. While we’ve created a true and impactful culture of learning within our organization, we’re continually evaluating what
we offer and striving to improve each and every day. The feedback we receive as part of the Training Top 125 is so important to
us as we build on previous success and continue to benefit our employees and organization in a positive way.”
C&A has been named among the Best Places to Work in Omaha in the large company category eight times and received the initiative’s
Sustained Excellence Award in 2019.
